Usher’s Performance

The Las Vegas Resident and R&B Icon, Usher, kept the audience hyped this past Sunday, at the 2024 Super Bowl. The Super Bowl took place in Las Vegas, NV and Usher brought the Vegas glamour and theatrics to the field and brought out several artists he has collaborated with. R&B and Hip Hop artists Alicia Keys, Jermaine Dupri, HER, Will.I.am, Lil Jon, and Ludacris joined Usher on the main stage. HER gave us rockstar vibes when wowing the crowd with her amazing guitar performance. Lil Jon brought party and club scene to the stage, hyping up the crowd surrounding him and the energy remained with him, Usher, and Ludacris, on the stage, until the end of the performance. What a way to end! Just the vibes that are needed for a Super Bowl game. It’s definitely a top Super Bowl performance.

Top Super Bowl Halftime Shows So Far

When speaking of the best Superbowl performances so far, I don’t think anyone can top Michael Jackson’s 1993 performance. The King of Pop has unique moves that not many have been able to master and, not only did he keep the crowd engaged, but he was creative as well. I know there is a lot that can be done now with graphics etc due to advanced technology so it makes me wonder how in 1993 Michael was able to go from being on the stage to the jumbo screen to the stage again within minutes. He was definitely ahead of his time.

Another legendary performance was at Coldplay’s Super Bowl performance in 2016. It was the 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl. Coldplay started the performance by bringing positivity to the stage and crowd similar to Michael Jackson’s performance when he performed “We Are The World,” during halftime in 93’. Another homage was paid to Michael when Coldplay brought out Bruno Mars and Beyoncé in their leather attire doing a dance off with women versus men which was very similar to Michael Jackson’s video for the song “Bad.” Beyoncé and Bruno definitely stole the show and it is know as one of the best halftime performances of all time.
